Low Tide

Today, as I walk along the seashore, it appears ashen,
An impenetrable grey.
A pallor, like fine sand, covers the shells at low tide.
Everywhere I see carnage,
Bleached skeletons of once magnificent sea creatures,
Decayed wood, blackened seaweed.
