These days run one into the other with a finality only grasped by the old.
There are not hundreds of sunrises ahead, nor sunsets left, each one more precious than the last in their passing. Old friendships have said all their words so many times...

The door

Deep within ones soul, a door it seems
But not necessarily of hopes and dreams
A lock with no key to be found
Futile and hopelessly bound
This place of darkest dark and saddest sad
Not so very good, mostly bad
At least for you in this hidden place...
