Kaushik Ghosh is working as Assistant Professor of Computer Science in University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, India. He spends his leisure in writing poetry, reading and playing Indian bamboo flute. Kaushik is an ardent follower of classic world literature. His favorite poets are Rabindranath Tagore, Kahlil Gibran, Alexander Pushkin and Maya Angelou. In prose his favorites are Tagore, Khaled Hosseini, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Haruki Murakami, Saratchandra Chattopadhya, Arundhati Roy, Leo Tolstoy, Sunil Gangopadhya and Amitav Ghosh.

On my way to work everyday,
I see a roadside florist. Old.
Sitting amidst happy colors -
pansy, roses and marigold.
Some come there for wedding bouquets
Some come there on a happy day –
And then, there are people who buy
Flowers for days that...

Lazy Sunday afternoon,
Sitting in my balcony
Counting on my joyous times
Smiling on my agony.


Scattered papers on my desk -
Some new, some old and dreary-
Interleaved an unsent letter
And some unquenched query.
