My name is Amanda Skosana a self-published author of her debut poetry book “Let go, Let God: Live Free”. The poems contained in this collection are warm and sincere and filled with soothing hope. In her dedication, the author refers to her poetry as a ‘small beacon of light’ for ‘anyone suffering from the physical weight of depression’. The words seem to float up through a limpid pool. I have lost touch with the world / Alive but not present / It pains I feel so worthless / Just alive but truly not living … I yearn for the stillness and peace of the ocean / Seals gliding free and joyful above the waters … I dream of brighter days / Of joy and greater days / This season will pass away / Trusting God to pave my way.
