Writing and specifically poetry have been an outlet for emotions and thoughts that I felt I felt I did not have a safe place to express as a child. My first inspiration to write came when my 5th grade teacher read Shel Silverstein's book " Where the side walk ends".
As an adult, I was inspired by great poets like Elizabeth Barret Browning and Emily Dickenson who taught me that writing was a personal journey to be shared as inspiration to others.
I am grateful for this opportunity to share my gift- my voice.
