Mommy

Carol Cefalu 1964 (Cincinnatti, Ohio)

I cannot wait yet one more day
to see your smiling face.

To have you hold me on your chest
and feel your warm embrace.

To hold my tiny baby hands
and kiss me on my cheek.

To rock me gently in your arms
and watch me fall asleep.

To sing me silly lullabies
and jam to rockin tunes.

I cannot  wait to see you mommy
I know the time is soon!
