Should I?

Ishan Yadav 2002 (Jhansi)

Should I just let go,
For it is hard for me to breathe,
Within these walls of hope,
Shoved as burden upon me?

Should I love myself more,
For the love now within isn't enough,
To keep me away from all the stereos,
Because for people I'm not enough?

Should I be more like her,
For people won't recognize me,
For whom I am or what I do,
Cause for them there's nothing inside me?

Should I try harder,
For evryone lets me down,
With their promises like empty vessles,
Which they break without a frown?

Should I keep my head stuck in the beyond,
And see what beholds,
Or should I just let things flow,
With me following my goals?

Sure it's hard for me to be,
With everyone putting up a misery,
But this won't keep me held within,
Cause there's flame bursting inside of me.

I wanna shout to this world,
That I've had enough,
It's time for me to live,
I'm tired of living in this bluff.

I'll stand up for myself,
Encouraging myslf more,
Loving myself with all my heart,
Cause it's for no one else to hold.

I've learned in the past,
How's it like to be,
A part of a puppet show,
With me playing the lead.

I won't look back now,
For I've made my mind,
I'll rise up against all the walls,
That have kept me caged inside.

I love myself enough,
I'm no one for you to judge,
Cause all y'all do is pry,
And that ship has sailed enough.
