This Too

"This too shall pass,
This too shall flow.
This too shall move,
This too shall grow.

This too shall give me balance,
This too shall give me peace.
This too shall make me stronger,
This too shall be released.

When that tidal crashes,
and the oceans and seas run dry.
When the earth begins to shake,
and the moon begins to cry.

I'll take all that I've learned with me,
In this life and all the rest,
I'll lie in pools of lightening,
With open books upon my chest.

With this heart that still keeps beating,
These eyes that still can see,
These shoulders that lift the weighted world,
The mind that makes me, me.

I walk with confidence, with strength, knowing this too shall pass,
This too shall heal,
And become part of the past
