The River Harold
flows like a dream
a river of memories and
a tourniquette of streams

The River Harold
tingles my spine
picks for me daisies
and sparrows of mind

The River Harold
codswallop fancies
for starch white tulips and
balderdash dandies

The River Harold
with waters oblique
smiles unspoken
at a turn of the cheek

The River Harold
runs wicked and wry
my dreams are still fancy
but the Harold is dry
