The pettiness of quarells
I once had a friend who was very dear
we'd bowled together and then have a beer
In the spring we would hike,
in the winter we'd ski
in the summer we'd picnic
and swim in the sea
One day came a quarrel
we couldn't resolve
as days turned to weeks
it slowly evolved
They wouldn't call and neither would I
and so time quickly passed by
We've both grew old Our lives grew apart
when I think of my friend it still hurts my heart
Why did we quarrel, who's to say,
what started the quarrel on that fateful day
That change my whole life
I lost my dear friend
all for a petty argument
we just couldn't end
