The Miller's Son

Once upon a time,
In a land far away,
There lived a noble miller's son
Who did nothing but play.

So one day when the sun was up,
The miller said, over his cup,
"Now, son, today you will work,
And be my noble miller's clerk."

The miller's son pouted and fought
But all to no desire.
The miller had worked up to his ears
And needed to rest by a fire.

So the miller's son went to work
And was a noble miller's clerk.
He worked all day,
And far into the night.

The next day, the miller said,
"Now, son, was that so hard?"
That miller's son fainted away
And had to be put to bed.

For the miller's son has a famous ailment:
He did not want to make merriment!
For the miller's son did not want to frolic.
He had become... a WORKAHOLIC!
