The lonely emperor

Karolina Marszałkowska 1993 (Gdańsk)

I know how many days passed by
With you still waiting for a dream
Your sighing is the easiest sign
You wished you could escape from here

I built that castle for your joy
Why can't you see how much I care
Your eyes follow another boy
Not seeing I am just out there

I built this tower so you'd see
Whole world when you'd just look around
But even tough I try, you still
Can never see me on the grounds

I gave  a dragon you could name
The most treasured of them all
You said I'm surely just insane
I cried few tears that fell below

I gave you all that you desired
You took it all with happy smile
One thing you threw away with fire
Was my disgraced and bleeding heart

So I decided to bring a knight
Who freed you from the highest stone
I hope that somewhere you're allright
I hope I won't be too alone
