The King Is Pawn

The bed is made. The bills are paid.
My freedom is full blown.
I laugh a lot. I have a plot.
It strikes my "funny bone."

The pets are swell. The kids are well.
My life is super cool
I say shalom. I love to roam.
It makes me "no one's fool."

The stars are crossed. The dice are tossed.
My fortune is secured.
I play the game. I seek no fame.
It brands me "self-assured."

The sun burns bright. The moon gives light.
My ride's a carousel.
I run around. I paint the town.
It earns a "fare thee well."

The king is pawn. The pain is gone.
My days are filled with joy.
I have some couth. I demand truth.
It shows "the real McCoy."
