The Good Shepherd! Sonnet!

I am the quiet shepherd watching all
The world's still waters, whether great or small.
Tranquil, reverent towards God's creation.
Filled with awe, I keep my humble station.

I am the kindly and loving shepherd
Shielding unflinching land from planet earth.
Guarding green pastures, heeding of splendour.
I guide their growth and protect their vigour.

I am the keen unsleeping shepherd, one
As flushed and as pink as a setting sun,
Contented by God's Blessings, faith shall rise
As red birds unceasing longing to fly

Be of good heart, gracious shepherd of God,
You are your own spiritual abode!
