The Centaur's Bride

The centaur traveled far to wide searching for his would-be bride.
By hoof and trail, by sea and sail in hopes to find his maiden frail.
Then one day there chanced to be a land beyond the surf and sea.
So far away from all he knew, a place to find his me for you.
A land with incense in the air, the dominion of his lady fair.
He galloped, stamped and marched around, but for him no bride there could be found.
He yelled and shouted to the skies, but found no ears to hear his cries!
As night grew nigh and all was lost, he knew his heart had paid the cost.
Poor centaur's sorrow grew so deep; Alas dear Morpheus brought him sleep.
When he awoke he found her there, without a sound with no fan fare.
She'd come quietly and softly to his heart with love, music, dance and art.
A unicorn with love so deep with heart so true for life to keep!
This maid of high and lofty birth for this centaur fell to earth.
To be his bride for ever more, ne're to touch the heaven's door.
Prayerfully falling to their knees beseeching the heavens to agree,
To seal for all time and eternity this he to she, this she to he.
When this wedding prayer was said, the sun did smile and nod his head.
Forever together to be at last, only future no more past.
Walking toward the setting sun they knew their lives had just begun.
With children, happiness, love and life, centaur husband the unicorn wife.
