That's My Jesus

A king in Servant's role;
God in human flesh;
He came to make us whole,
and build our lives afresh.
That's my Jesus!

So strong and yet so gentle;
Assertive, but so kind;
Some thought of Him as Mental;
but who controlled their mind?
Not My Jesus!

My brother and my lover;
My shepherd and betrothed;
He loves me like no other;
with clean garment, my body He clothed.

That's My Jesus!

He died in my place,
Made my guilt all His own;
But once more I'll see His face
Cause He's taking me home.
That's my Jesus!

Sharlene Best Licciardello

Sharlene Best Licciardello has written a few poems in her earlier years, purely from a Christian perspective, and hopes to write more poems about her journey in NLP and Meditation as a believer in God's unfailing love for herself and mankind. She believes that Poetry is one way that we can bear our hearts to others in an uplifting and entertaining form of art. As poetry consists of more than one style, Sharlene does not cling to one particular style but likes to embrace the whole spectrum of Poetic forms. It is her hope to touch readers hearts all around and provide food for thought. more…
