Suddenly It's Quiet

My eyes lids droop over.
Ready to lay down and read.
I know I have to nourish,
Nourish my energy.

Can't sleep, though.
Gotta stay awake.
Can't I go to bed
For God's sake?

It was loud in my room,
And suddenly, it's quiet, still.
I want to converse,
But I guess I need a sleeping pill.

I hate silence,
It's boring, sad.
How I long for laughter,
Clearing away the bad.
