I walked to the end of the boulevard

Damp with rain, I traced the arcing light

I thought I might find you waiting for me

Alone and awake, in the depths of the night

While leaves grew over the lintel

Red and golden, encircling the park

I passed through the doorway to the water

Someone was calling, a voice that echoed in the dark

And the dream city kept revolving
