Pink Pyramids

Well gotta go now
Was one time wishing
The world would slow down
Wait for you and me

That's okay time to catch
A train west bound to the stack
All the way to Albuquerque
Longing for the Spectacular

Just almost don't want to know
How much things will have changed
Her venacular pueblos layed on
Paved roads from canyon walls

Mountains packed with ice slush cold
Rainbow hues against skies so blue
Lungs inflated faces kissed by sun shaded
In every titration of brown and copper brew

Hard to know what to expect
Her humans have doubled
Since last I went and what of the Indians drinking
Effluent water now from progress's rubble.

A jewel trampled on might
Be the fate I find when I finally
Hit I- twenty five but if I time it
Just right there'll be balloons lit high.

Will there be a place for me
A job, a humble new beginning
Can't know, but maybe beats the alone
I have in a crowded room at home.
