Never Underestimate Me

K.T. Brown 1990 (Greenwood, SC)

Fool, who do you think you are?
You're just so simple minded thinking I'm so helpless.
Yeah I hear you talking,
Assuming what you see instead of looking within.
Understand one thing,
I'm not weak.
The heart in me is strong like a lion fit for a king.
I see you look down on me like I ain't nobody.
But then I smell a hater tryna front thinking I can't sense his fear.
But I'm looking past ya'll because the greater things awaits for me.
As a matter of fact go ahead and plot and scheme.
Say what's in your chest there's no hiding it.
Because when I'm in the moment I'll leave your wishes and hopes long gone.
Because the fire within me spreads so vividly.
Who are you supposed to be anyways?
What are you about?
Why look at me wondering what I'm about when you can't even look at yourself in the mirror?

Understand one thing,
I'm the man with the master plan.
Go against me and you'll be knocked off course like you crashed in speed racing.
I can never be looked down upon as long as my God and my people stand with me.
The power within me is like a full arsenal I'll dismiss your whole clan.
Your words are so irrelevant,
I'll take you as a joke.

Never in your life try to destroy me,
Understand I'm livin' for a higher purpose.
So many people tried to bring me down,
Which they temporarily succeeded.
They even tried to dictate my future,
But I never believed it.
Even to this day some people wanna see me fall,
They think that I'm worthless.
But what they don't know,
Is that with each passing moment I'm gonna rise.
