My Mind's Eyes
My Mind's Eyes
Her words beat upon my heart in pains pleasure.
My mind's eyes still weep tears for love's treasure.
Moon and sun will never meet, under heavens feet.
As our love now torn forever to the spectators treat.
Laugh they may for my skin is but tissue thin.
To the humiliation that comes from within.
Seared is my heart from words of tongues.
The defeat and ridicule have deeply stung.
The bells of my heart ring loudly for you.
My soul tainted in moods colored in blue.
My spirit forever beat, broken and left alone.
To her pains pleasure our love turns to stone.
No not the misery you stow upon me.
No not the sunlight for what it can be.
No not the reason a butterfly will leave.
Just know my love was always for thee.
