Mama please don'T
A docile and powerless creation,
I listen with surging emotion,
Mama saying she wants an abortion,
After loving papa without protection,
Mama, please don't kill me!
I have to meet with death,
Before I even see mother earth,
Of my life I have no say,
Even though Pope thinks I may.
Mama, please spare me!
Mama takes a litter of liquor,
Corroding my face and causing me fever,
Her friend says liquor is quicker,
Yet by luck and fortune, I endeavor.
Mama please don't let me suffer!
Papa tells her a pint or two,
Of undiluted Cola would do,
And without minding the pains I bear,
She sells herself to the evil affair.
Mama why do you torture me?
For reasons unknown to her and to me,
I am wounded but living, how can it be?
Six months gone yet she won't wait for three,
She wants my life to pay for the fee,
Of her sensual encounter and sexual glee.
Mama do you just have to kill me?
She quickly calls the quack doctor,
Who, she gathers, does not pester,
People so stubborn as me and my like.
Mama mama I beg thee!
He warns her that her life is at risk,
She says that she will treble the price,
If he can but scoop out the 'stubborn mouse'.
Mama am I that much a devil?
As greedy as all quacks be,
It takes no thought for him to agree,
And a mission to tear me out begins-
A mission so terrible(the greatest of sins!)
Mama why must you kill me?!
In came the syringe,
Severe and stern,
Pinching my back, so pink and soft,
In came the penknife,
With stabs unforgiving,
Ripping me of my body and life,
Cutting my birth cord,
making me bleed.
In came the wooden stick,
With a shaft so thick,
Stirring me still
In whirls so cruel.
In came the steel trowel,
As cold as the heart of the quack.
To scoop me and send me back to heaven.
But lo! the 'stubborn mouse' is stuck!
Mama, mama why be a monster?
Mama bled and wailed in pain,
Having lost four pints of blood.
papa had to think again,
Or lose her and me for good.
Papa why did you let mama do it?
When to the hospital we were rushed,
Doctors there worked real fast,
To get me off a womb so wicked,
Now, in an incubator am interred,
For eight months was but too soon.
Mama see what pain you caused to us.
But I thank God who gives to bless.
