Love's Offerings

Love's Offerings
Blustery winds on a dark night
gives cause to a wishful tomorrow
forlorn moans of puppy wails
bestow despondency to my sorrow

Running dreams
now ascending earth
to the flickering beyond mars.

Where a glimmering of hope
galvanized within a wink and
the twinkling of stars.

As my love burns and
flares so bright f
rom my chest
that wounds my heart.

To breathe
the breath of devotion
upon her lips
to have our two souls start.

The podium of risk is
tethered to my heart in
the absent of a darkened night.

When the moon is left blackened
in darkness
leaving love in a circle of light.

Where my yearning
turns to burning
causing blemishes within
my land of dreams.

In the morn
where I shall take that girl
within my arms
and hold tight as the sun gleams.

Telling her the moon
and the stars are ours
while the sunrise is both to share.

Foe our heavens offerings
and earthly delight
as our love
will always be there.

IntroductionForgotten are the times the tick of a clock once chimed sobering sounds that caressed my hearts nightly dreams. As I awaken to the touch of light that burns upon a candles wick flickering my words for all to see. This drives my thoughts through the darkest of nights of loneliness that renders my quill upon parchment with ink that dances to minds and souls. Now I hear the screeching of my heart when the blue horizon covers the orb of emptiness.Within the shelter of my mind with little, purpose other than my words that keep me sane. These are my new poems I have written in the quiet of my night, forever wished away in a writer’s pain. As I strive to write that perfect poem that, my soul desperately seeks. Then and only then can my words rest upon a sleep. more…
