Just A Leaf

From the beginning I was just leaf, surrounded by other leafs that were just like me We had the same shape and size, everything was such a similarity

When it stormed I would be afraid and eventually get rained on, but you told me to be strong because it was only temporary and wouldn't last long

When the sun shined, you continued to show me the beauty and everything that I defined, and when the wind blew you told me I stopped time

I have been sad that I was tiny in such a big world, but you gave me hope that one day I could conquer the world

However you are just a stem that makes us one for today, but hold on tight, TIGHT AS YOU CAN, because if you don't, my time will come for me to wither away
