Into the Void, Act III: The Void, Chapter 3 - (Alyac Flower)

Who will save poor Juliet?
When the bad dreams fall on her again.
Will someone save poor Juliet?
Before she pays her life for all our sin.

Can you hear me calling out your name?
With my voice trembling in shame,
Knowing that I alone am to blame.
For all the poison flowing in your veins.

Will someone wake poor Juliet?
She's gotten lost inside her fears.
Someone shake poor Juliet.
I'm right beside her, though I'm not here.

When will you wake up, and tell me you're okay?
I'll never leave you, I swear that I'll stay.
But I can't help you, I'm lost in a daze.
Please say something, just say anything.

Who will save poor Juliet?
Before she slips away.
Will someone save poor Juliet?
I swear I'll never love again.

(And She went on crying,
Crying through the night.
Crying in her sleep,
Crying from within her fever dreams.
Then she whimpered,
And then she was still.
And still she stayed.)

[(The last I saw of her,
She was still there, lost in the Void.
I hope she made it out okay.)]

I am a university student from Texas, and a bit of a closet-poet. Perhaps I should keep it in the closet, but I am interested in getting feedback on some of my poetry. Let me know what you think! I used to write a lot of poetry when I was a little kid, but eventually lost interest as I got older. I started writing poetry again as a form of art-therapy during a really hard time in my life. I like to try to experiment with different styles and strange metaphors. Understandably, this can make some of my poetry less accessible at times, but occasionally I feel like it pays off. more…
