Ingenuity Wraps Wasps

Imaginative information slides
across the ink of poetry; wild words,
and I juggle romance whilst creation
makes origami shapes in this heartache.

She's a raspberry reader of blank verse,
rippled with understatements and beauty,
a poetic masterpiece, she flows like
a song under the tongue's warmth, all curled up,
her satisfaction's a wall of delight
that spins cotton promise into colour.

Independence is a novel on lips;
wet with the bloom of dawn's magical scent,
each page is a sigh which strangles ideas.

Ingenuity wraps wasps; yellow-black
danger zones that sparkle in nature's eyes,
and I, the fool in her sight, am reckless,
I drown in smiles as snarls animate time,
every pastel chalk movement's a shimmer
in the roses I pluck from death's barter.

Tomorrow's a swing away from reason,
perhaps her vocabulary shall weep,
drip down her cheek's blush as I walk away,
or wither in a blaze of delicacy -
frosty collapse as the wings of demons
laugh like angels caught in the harp's fine strings.
