Indian Bride
Her heart was pining for for the day to dawn
All her fears and doubts are now gone
This was the day of her many dreams
With inward happiness her face beams
Her friends and family are around
With a gladsome reason to ground
It was a day of jubilation and merriment
Her heart leaps with a sense of contentment
She decks herself with a silk saree
With the traditional noams to agree
Like a soldier with his armaments
She adorns all beautiful ornaments
As she is soon going to get wed
Bright kumkum radiates her forehead
Fresh jasmine garland graces her hair
Flowers slected for the bride so rare
She was brought to the marriage hall
The ritual chantings began their call
She sat before the holy fire
With a man posed so near
As the bride groom ties the holy knot
Her heart missed her family a lot
For the first time she eagarly looked into
The face of the man she got married to!!!
