Happy Birthday Tim!

Happy Birthday to my little brother Tim.
Today, the special reminder, that I really miss him.

I wish that you were here to celebrate your day.
But you're not, I love you and I miss you, are all I get to say.

We mourn everyday, the loss of you.
Your love always shone right through.

On the outside, you seemed so happy and carefree.
Or maybe that's because, that's what I wanted to see.

You left us in a quandary after what you did.
Because our love for you, was never hid.

You were the one who always wanted to make us laugh and smile.
Just to be near you, we'd walk any distance, whether a few feet or a mile.

You were a lover, never a fighter, which is where this story gets sad.
Tim we miss you so much, you were the best brother a person could have.

But you had your demons tormenting you inside, as we all do.
You just couldn't get past the heartache of what you went through.

We wanted so badly for it to be a nightmare, the news to be untrue.
Because it's harder than you can possibly imagine, living without you.

Your beaming smile, and warm and loving embrace.
You made everyone feel that they were in a safe place.

You had the gift, that infectious way about you.
You always seemed self assured, you knew what to do.

Yet we are here today, and sadly you are not.
But your memories live on, you will never be forgot.
