God’s The Only One Who Can Hear Me Moan

they left me here all alone
they might as well throw away the key
because no one ever visits me
i'll stay put all day long, and on this bed i lie
why? i might as well die
im afraid my spirits have frayed long ago
feels like my skin is hanging by a thread, to my bones
god's the only one who can hear me moan

thinking back to the good old days
when my grandchildren would come to say goodbye
i would've hugged them if my bones werent so weak and fragile
i'd give anything to see a smile on their face again

i watch as my life flash before my eyes
as quickly as the years have passed me by
a montage of vague memories
sabotaged by the plague of animosity

i've got a lifetime of wisdom to share
..but nobody cares
and the youngsters they just spit on me
they cant wait to get rid of me
..so they can inherit my fortune
i cant blame them cause i'm old
i'm old and oh so cold, i'm all alone
god's the only one who can hear me moan
