God's Little Princess

The things for which I search 
Seem nowhere to be found
Trying to plant my feet
Onto solid ground
Patiently I've been waiting
For my special someone
To find myself just dating
To find that there was none
Trying to reach a conscious place
Of self satisfaction
But gazing at his desirable face
Showing me no reaction 
Leaves me feeling lost 
Realizing his attraction for me is small
Is there any hope for me in this world
Any hope at all
I've tried time and time again 
But every time a fail
I show up with an open heart 
And all they do is bail
I pray someday prince charming
Comes riding in on his horse
Because I am God's little princess
