FLY

Glide, soar, more and more
high in the sky
up, up, rise
then dive
down, around
windblowing, soaring
over hills, above the trees
sweep and swirl
drift, stray
twist and curve
fall
then surge
climbing, ascending
fly like a bird
free, at ease
ride the breeze
hover
sit in the air
still, calm, devoid of noise
looking down
scan around
seeing near and far
corn, scanning back and forth
moors, woods, wilderness
upwards,
winding river, finding sea
mountain peak
now, descending through the cloud
further still
hill and fell
landing gear down
lower still
tree top height
slowing down
level ground
on a perfect night
end of flight
