First Times

Remember your first promise. Did you keep your word?
Virtue inauguration isn't trust deferred.
Remember your first school day. Did you join classmates?
Temporal alliances aren't deep friendship traits.
Remember your first conflict. Did you right a wrong?
Coercively browbeating doesn't peace prolong.
Remember your first dance step. Did you move in beat?
Hop-skip, hornpipe and shuffle doesn't rhythm meet.
Remember your first lip kiss. Did you feel the thrill?
Calenture titillation doesn't love instill.
Remember your first heartbreak. Did you think it death?
Adherence to engagement isn't idle breath.
Remember your first romance. Did you spin in space?
Passion without commitment isn't worth the chase.
Remember your first trophy. Did you swell with pride?
Victorious distinction doesn't long abide.
Remember your first real job. Did you earn the cash?
Diligent investiture doesn't working trash.
Remember your many firsts. Did you learn from them?
Experiences ignored you must face again.
