Failing Hope

When a soul is mated with the cosmos
that entity has found its purpose
A knowing which defies definitions
by the so-called wise ones with gumptions

In a free world, a person can
quibble free of stigma
Yet, over-knowledge could make of such an enigma
as most who really know, speak even less
Unless specifically appealed to,
to such in-formation share

To wist a pleasant world exists
albeit a heist and plunder surmise
The reign of the marauders
Leaving wits of the denizen in demise

A lot of pain could drive one insane
Indeed, like a grain of truth
Encrusted with lies from an endless supply
When one is taken to places unknown
The seeds of fear are quite hastily sowed

To ramble I think is only fair
When a fellow has no power to change effect
I pray that the planet Earth endures
I hope for a cure during our tenure
...The aliens are watching.
