Dawn
Visiting again from dark clouds
This devil who has haunted me ever since
In gloomy shadows of the forlorn night
Comes to rejoice at my dying dreams
Flashes the future I always dread
Kills my hope; Smirks at my agony
Voices, images, thoughts play havoc in my heart
My breath thick with meloncholy
My pursuit of happiness slowing down
I pray for dawn to appear
Wait for devil to perish, pain to succumb
Wait will be over shortly; Silence ensues...
Breaking Dawn shatters the doleful silence
With its first throw of light
Raises my spirit; rejuvenates fortitude
And now.....now when there is light all around
I realize that it had always been here so long
.....That my eyes are open now
The realization sinks in
Aurora of faith engulfs darkness in mind
Leaving the corpse of disbelief behind
The devil is not in the night, but in the mind
Despondent fear resigns, belief strengthens
Hope shall never die, for I am awake now
