Coma

I gather words
like sunflowers, sweet
in my mouth--a
slack pocket that
once tumbled
together lemon
sours and
butterscotch.
Stuttering
neon in parched
dreams; words
pool while
morphine swells
my arteries. My
name is oven-
dried chicken
bones in my
throat.
