Can You Hear The Snow Falling?

Can you hear the snow falling?
Cherry-bomb noses press the pane
Tiny fingers leave prints on the glass
That reflect the fireplace, barely crackling
/Starry eyes carry a sleigh full of hope
As they soak up the midnight, clear
Staring silently o'er the fuzzy treetops
Stars like silver bells, suddenly near
/Downward spirals of small flecks of white
Make breaths catch on the turn of a weathervane
Smiles bubble over like warmed milk
And I can feel the memory all over again
/Coated in sugarplum, it whisks me away
As December - so inviting - asks me to stay
/Enchantment laid thick till I'm dizzy inside
As I dream by the fire, empty stockings reside
The moment lost to glitter, thou Winter's
Howl is still calling, and I'm still listening
Can you hear the snow falling?
