Bitten by a Dandelion

Bitten by a Dandelion

Kickin’ back eating a cracker jack.
Chasing a glimpse with a coca-cola.
Pinning on a smile with an old thumbtack.
I’m glad I’ve had this time to getta know ya.

You need no introductions, I know your face.
You’ve lived the tattoos of a rolling stone.
What’s brought you here to this obscure place?
I can’t help but notice you’re all alone.

Pull up a chair my friend, let’s reminisce.
You’ve gone and got yourself in quite a mess,
Having been bitten by a dandelion’s kiss.
It’s gonna take some time to convalesce.

You’ve wasted time on a dandelion bride.
Now, all the roses are out of bloom.
I know dear boy, it hurts inside.
But, don’t get caught up and presume.

Just hold your head up boy and walk with pride.
Don’t focus on an uncertain relapse.
I know it’s been a wild and crazy ride.
It’s time to chase your great perhaps….

Then, perhaps will coincide.
