BAD HAIR DAY (Poem #207)
I got up early morning and
while starting out to dress,
I noticed in the mirror
that my hair was quite a mess.
But out I have to hurry
with no time to get a crop,
So I fuss with combs and brushes
as I try to untangle this mop.
As I'm pulling and a tugging,
a promise do I make
To get to a hairdresser tomorrow
before I need a rake.
But today I have to bear with it
and that is just that,
So I'll just have to deal with it
by putting on a hat.
