Adam & Eve

There was a crisp, maroon apple that went rotten & rancid
Two bare bodies collasped beside it, atop of the grasses
The seeds of deception seemed to blossom when planted
Eve whispered silky words, enough to weave cotton & fabrics

Then he crippled over on his knees, lost in the sadness
The verdent garden began to wilt, the cost of the madness
Juice foamed from Adam's mouth, he coughed & panicked
The golden gates of grandeur appeared, dropped, then vanished
