I saw you run by,
last night,
in my dreams,
on the snow packed hills,
of the stark wolves,
hanging in the trees,
on the road forbidden,
that the hunter chose.
I hugged an Eskimo child,
she had run to my side,
in the daylight of reality.
As you ran by,
I stood as a ghost.
A tree that spoke,
"that's her,"
coloured stark white,
a leaf,
falling in my dreams,
amongst the silver sun,
high atop the sky.
