Oh Bother!
Eagerly, lustfully
Pouring a hitherto
Unknown,tinned
Coconut beverage
Into a glass fast
When, as luck
Would have it,
A few droplets
Escape down
My leopard printed
Sleeve. The animal in
It, no doubt, determined
To slake a thirst.
Not to be bested,
I shot upstairs
And beneath the faucet
Tried to wrest
The droplets from it
With a vigorous squeeze,
Too late! Cut both sleeves
Away. The one
Going awry
For the quenching
Of the other.
Say you, “ Unfair”?
Oh bother!
