A devotion to my wife Aki and my son Daniel

Should ah close ma eyes yince an' e'ermore
Nae mair tae spy braw licht sklentin' thru' ma door
If aw this vain glory hae nae purpose at aw’
Ah did ma best tae love yi' aw'

But fair yin day we'll meet again
An' sense the hearts o' those we knew
There in the dark a light will shine
The love ah' had for thee an' thine

Where bricht sprites dance an' dragons merry We'll raise a glass thru' mist an' hooly
‘Till ah spot ma girlie oan the wa'
This heart will ne'er be lighter

But fair yin day we'll meet again
An' sense the hearts o' those we knew
We'll raise a glass thru' mist an' hooly
Wi’ wings tae watch o'er hempie

Ah'll kiss ma lassie oan the wa'
Where bricht sprites dance an' dragons blaw
We'll raise a toast thru' mist an' dewy
This heart could ne'er be lighter

Should ah close ma eyes yince an' e'ermore
Nae mair tae spy braw licht sklentin' thru' ma door Tho’ ah did ma best tae love yi' aw'
An' yi'll always be ma lassie o'
