Remembrance.

This journey does begin
When to this measured plane
Of cosmic time and dust
Came forth a traveling spirit
Seeking warmth and love
Alas the love that willing wisp had wished
Came not to he and now
A soul on wing his light does range
To be alone his lot this life
To gain a son and lose a wife
He gazed below on fields of poppies dry
And shed the tears which fell from laden
skies
As pearls on people laid in earth below
