If Not There
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
If not there,
To care, share or experience the life.
Others live.
Without concern or that to give.
Yet assume to know,
Their every move.
And what they do on a daily basis.
From morning, noon and night time too!
Who gives you the right,
To criticize and judge them.
When nowhere within sight,
Have you laid your eyes...
On steps they make.
Or can validate,
In which direction they take.
Doing this to mind their own business!
If not there,
To care or share what others go through.
Why entertain a maintaining of concern?
By questioning those,
Who neither know nor met...
Whomever is subjected.
With a soliciting of their opinions.
Created to make up what is fictioned.
To delude into reality,
A truth of a 'there' to be that isn't!
Has this continued nonsense,
Been the cause...
Of normalizing the increase,
Many noticeably are being seen...
Having personal issues neglected.
Protected.
Yet deny the trying to hide,
Their mental instabilities?
Or is this a wish to have their ignorance,
Approved and accepted!
From inside the walls of justice.
And throughout the halls,
Where people walk and talk,
About everything else.
But what they are expected to accomplish.
For the people who elected them,
As leaders to prioritize the lives of others.
Although witness to observe,
Children assessing...
Who is more qualified to perform as fools,
In a school yard!
With a 'there' to see that shouldn't be,
Condoned!
'Excuse me?
Who pays your exorbitant salary.
And free health care?!
