You drift away

The waves drift you away in their half love hearts as you take in the sun that let's you rest in its warmth.
The shoots of flowers yet too small to keep you seated in my humble garden.
As my legs rock, new life dances in your eyes so stunning and in motion to your heartbeat.
This towering lighthouse too dull to hold you in its beam.
The birds pull you to the wind that chips at the contours of your beautiful face.
Our kiss stilled in statuesque memories.
Our beads skatter into the stars as our ties grow and loosen their grip to my weary hand.
Our love migrates like the swallows that can no longer sit and wait for the curiosity in your eyes.
You are forgetting to turn back in the faceless crowd.
As your hair rays out as if reaching for the butterflies that teach you to walk freely, the roots are not yet formed on the newest rose of our love.
The magic of our joy caught in the mist as it sweeps the forests and mountains further out into the greater world.
Too many nights stream into your sunrises leaving their starlight dreams at your feet.
The walls and paths grow uneven around my heart, choked and hidden by vines.
As we accept the rustling and the dew on the webs of life.
You still swim through the mer rainbows of light.
