the heart

My precious girl was afraid of love,
Until one day she wasn’t.
Her heart became a little dove,
Flying away from his poison.

Freedom unblocked all the feelings,
bringing happiness into her life,
They call it a miraculous healing,
Cause there is no trace of her strife.

They don’t know her years in struggle,
Pretending that all love is great,
Trying to learn how to juggle,
Instead of showing her real self straight.

Losing it all by pieces,
Finding some parts again,
Waiting till the pain eases
and conditions no longer obtain.

And each day she was a step closer.
Closer to knowing her strengths.
There were no more posers
despite her journey’s rough length.

About this poem

you can go through different stages of your life without telling a single soul about it. sometime you think that something is right only because you heard that you wouldn’t feel right without it. apparently, that’s not true. you can choose your way. you can follow a different path and find out that there are more to it than you thought. you can open your heart to love, life and our world but you need to do it your own way.
