A Melancholy Reverie
In the stillness of the night,
Where shadows linger long,
There lies a heart weighed down by sorrow,
A soul bereft of song.
Tears like rivers flow unchecked,
Through valleys dark and deep,
Echoes of a love once cherished,
Now lost in endless sleep.
Each breath a burden, heavy laden,
With memories of what once was,
A haunting melody of whispered promises,
Now silenced by the void.
Oh, how the stars above do weep,
As they bear witness to the pain,
Of a heart that's shattered into fragments,
And will never be whole again.
But amidst the darkness, a glimmer of hope,
A flicker of light in the gloom,
For even in the depths of despair,
There blooms a rose in bloom.
So let the tears fall freely,
Let the heartache have its say,
For in the depths of sorrow's embrace,
We find the strength to face another day.
