Awakening

Tonja Yaklin 1970 (Michigan)

As I begin to unlearn, I start to awaken.
A new way, a new path, I am taken.
Slowly seeing, what has always been here.
Removing old habits, embracing the fear.
I am grateful, I am humble, for today I breathe.
In this body, at all times, I love unconditionally.
So thank you, my teachers, new friends alike.
For without you, I'd still be lost, on this hike.
