FREEDOM PAID IN BLOOD

FREEDOM PAID IN BLOOD

In fires of revolution, we were born
From tyranny of Britain we were torn
It was on the fields or war our flag arose
In the wind it flies, torn by bullet holes
As the smoke clears our Freedom was paid ..
…. In Blood

In passion a young nation torn by ideals held
North and South test freedom as passions swelled
Brother fought brother, who was proven right?
The conflict ended as freedom brought His Light
As passions cooled our Freedom was paid…
…In Blood

Across the sea rose a tyrant, we answered the call
Four long years we stood, watching our sons fall
The battle swept across the globe, our flag led the way
Flying over evil on a distant Island, in a dying day
As the tyrant fell, our Freedom was paid…
…In Blood

A late summer morning, people rush into work
Unaware that in skies above, death quietly lurk
Planes fly into towers  before our very eyes
In an instant, thousands of Americans die
As the dust cleared our Freedom is paid…
…In Blood

In a faraway desert, a soldier sits, rests
Explosions rock the works, our nation’s test
We fight for the the freedom we hold
Home of the brave and the bold
Once again our Freedom is paid…
…In Blood

2000 years ago we saw the Dawn of the Free
Jesus healed the sick, caused the blind to see
We watched His people's eyes were veiled
To the Cross the Savior of man was nailed
In His death our Freedom was paid…
…In Blood

Our Savior was dead for three long days
In Blood Freedom's price He pays
He arose and breaks the bonds of sin
Cati escare freed when He comes in
Christ arrives and our Freedom is paid…
…In Blood

The ideals our nation holds dear
Are founded in Him it's clear
Price paid for life and liberty
And freedom of eternity
By Faith our Freedom is paid. .
…In Blood
AMEN
