Metamorphosis
In order for me to become who I’m supposed to be I had to reach
deep down inside & give myself CPR!!!
I was submerged in death
I was locked away in my cocoon,
I could no longer stand the confinement of the one thing that had
once given me life is now the thing that is taking my life.
I have outgrown my cocoon and now it’s time for my
METAMORPHOSIS.
BREATHE, LIVE, FIGHT, STAND, FLY…
Now I stand before you vulnerable, afraid and even scared
but with the courage to move on and be me, as beautiful as a
butterfly,
look at all the wonderful arrangements of colors and textures.
Now it’s amazing if you truly look at all the
BEAUTY, GRACE & WISDOM
that lies before your eyes.
My METAMORPHOSIS
is complete but my miracle of becoming a butterfly
was just as bitter as it was sweet.
About this poem
I believe people can live their dreams. Your quality of life is in your hands, so I decided to pursue the artistic passion of poetry telling my journey. This opportunity is invaluable to me. I'm going to finish writing my first book and continue my journey with my poetry. Poetry gives me self-love, self-accomplishments to be able to share my innermost feelings in such an inspiring way which allowed me to mature with life. The inspiration behind "Metamorphosis" is letting go of dead life, also embracing self and new life. Don't be afraid of change, it's life-altering. more »
